How to use bank exam mocks across SBI, IBPS and RRB

Most bank aspirants write several exams in one season: IBPS PO and SBI PO, or IBPS Clerk, SBI Clerk and RRB Clerk. The syllabus overlaps heavily (puzzles, data interpretation, arithmetic, reading comprehension), so one daily routine of topic tests covers all of them. Two puzzle sets, one DI set, one series or quadratic set and one reading passage a day is a strong base for any bank Prelims.

Full mocks are different: take them for the exam that is coming next. SBI PO has 40 English questions and no sectional cut-off; IBPS PO has 30 English questions, Reasoning worth 40 marks and a cut-off in every section; RRB has no English at all and only 20 minutes for 40 Quant questions. Practising the wrong shape before an exam teaches the wrong time split.

In each full mock, track three numbers per section: attempts, accuracy and time left. For IBPS exams, check every section against a safe margin above the last sectional cut-off before looking at the total. For SBI exams, aim for the highest aggregate and use your strongest section to carry the score.

With one-fourth negative marking, a guess between two remaining options is worth taking, but a blind guess among five is not. Most selected candidates keep accuracy above 85% in Prelims mocks.

Use the memory-based papers in the last two weeks before each exam to see the current puzzle types and DI formats, and keep a daily 30-minute slot for banking and financial awareness: Mains follows Prelims within weeks, and General Awareness carries 40 to 60 Mains marks in every one of these exams.
