SSC MTS and Havaldar 2026: Notification Status, Exam Pattern, Syllabus and Mock Tests

The SSC Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar Examination recruits MTS (Pay Level 1) for central government offices and Havaldars for CBIC and CBN. Candidates who have passed Class 10 can apply.

There is one computer-based exam in two sessions: Session I (Maths and Reasoning, qualifying, no negative marking) and Session II (General Awareness and English, −1 per wrong answer), which decides the merit. Havaldar candidates then take a PET and PST.
