SSC CGL Marks Calculator 2026 (Tier 1 Answer Key Score)

Save your SSC CGL response sheet as a web page and choose it here. You get attempted, correct and wrong answers and marks for each section, and your total against last year's cut-off.

Status on 20 October 2026: the CGL 2026 Tier 1 exam is running (30 September to 30 October 2026) and SSC has not released the answer key yet. The calculator is ready for the day response sheets open.

Or paste the page source instead (computer)

Open your response sheet, press Ctrl+U (Cmd+Option+U on a Mac), select all with Ctrl+A, copy, and paste it here. A link will not work: SSC's response-sheet pages cannot be read by another website from your browser.

Pre-filled with the official scheme: +2 for a correct answer, −0.50 for a wrong answer. Change it only if SSC/RRB changes the marking.

Privacy: your file never leaves your device. It is read by your own browser; nothing is uploaded or stored, and your name and roll number are not read.

How to download and save your response sheet

  1. 1

    Log in on ssc.gov.in

Open ssc.gov.in, click Login and sign in with your Registration Number and Password. Response sheets open only during the answer-key window SSC announces for your exam.

  2. 2

    Open Answer Key Challenge

In your candidate dashboard click "Answer Key Challenge", then the "Click Here" button for your exam. SSC sends you to the exam agency's portal, where your response sheet opens.

  3. 3

    Check the colours

SSC marks the sheet in colour: green = you picked the right answer, red = you picked a wrong answer, yellow = the correct answer, grey = not attempted. These colours are what this calculator reads.

  4. 4

Save the page as a file

Computer: press Ctrl+S (Cmd+S on a Mac) and save as "Webpage, Complete" or "Webpage, HTML only". Android Chrome: tap ⋮ and then the download icon (saves an .mhtml file). If your sheet opens in parts (PART-A, PART-B…), save each part.

  5. 5

    Choose the file here

Pick the saved .html or .mhtml file above (select all parts together). Your marks appear at once, section by section. SSC says the saved paper is for personal use and self-analysis only, so do not share it.

PDF files are not supported yet: in a PDF of the sheet the answer marks are colours and pictures, not text. Reading your sheet straight from its link is coming soon; for now save the page as a file.

FAQs

How are SSC CGL 2026 Tier 1 marks calculated?

Each correct answer gets 2 marks and each wrong answer loses 0.50 marks; unattempted questions get 0. There are 4 sections of 25 questions, so the maximum is 200 (CGL 2026 notice, Para 13.8).

When will the SSC CGL 2026 answer key and response sheet come out?

SSC has not announced it yet. The Tier 1 exam runs from 30 September to 30 October 2026, and SSC releases the tentative key with response sheets after all shifts are over. Watch the Answer Key section of ssc.gov.in.

What was last year's SSC CGL Tier 1 cut-off?

For all posts other than JSO and Statistical Investigator, SSC's corrected CGL 2025 cut-offs were UR 136.40, OBC 130.37, EWS 127.42, SC 115.03 and ST 106.39 out of 200 (corrigendum dated 14.01.2026). These are normalised marks.

Can I compare my raw marks with the cut-off?

Only roughly. The cut-off is on normalised marks, and SSC normalises CGL Tier 1 scores across shifts with the equipercentile method, so your normalised score can be higher or lower than your raw score.

How do I use the SSC CGL answer key 2026 score calculator?

When SSC opens the answer key, log in on ssc.gov.in, open your response sheet, save the page (Ctrl+S, Webpage) or copy its source (Ctrl+U), and choose the file or paste the source here. The calculator reads your chosen option and the key for all 100 questions and shows marks, attempts and accuracy for each of the four sections.

Are answered-and-marked-for-review questions counted?

Yes. SSC evaluates a question that was answered and also marked for review, so the calculator counts it like any other answer. A question only marked for review, with no option chosen, counts as not attempted.

Does it work with my CGL 2025 response sheet?

Yes, if you saved the sheet as a web page. CGL 2025 had the same Tier 1 pattern and marking.

Is my response sheet uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and read by your own browser with JavaScript. Nothing is sent to BookOfExams or anyone else, nothing is stored, and the calculator does not read your name, roll number or photo.

Why can't I paste my response-sheet link?

The commission's pages cannot be read from another website in your browser, and sending your link to a server would expose your sheet. Save the page and choose the file, or on a computer press Ctrl+U on the sheet, copy the page source and paste it into the box above. Either way everything stays on your device.

Can I upload the PDF of my response sheet?

Not yet. In a PDF the green, red and yellow marks are colours or small pictures, not text, so they cannot be read reliably. Save the sheet as a web page (.html or .mhtml) instead.

Is this my final score?

It is your raw score on the tentative answer key printed on your sheet. The final key can change answers or drop questions, and exams held in several shifts are normalised, so your final marks can differ.

The number of questions looks wrong. What should I do?

Check that you saved the page with all your questions, not the login or instructions page. If the sheet opened in parts, save every part and choose all the files together.
