How the calculation works
Marks in a section = correct − wrong × 0.25. For example, 30 correct and 6 wrong in English give 30 − 1.5 = 28.5. Since SBI PO Prelims has no sectional cut-off, your total out of 100 is what decides the Mains shortlist.

SBI PO Score Calculator: FAQs
How is the SBI PO Prelims score calculated?
Each question carries 1 mark and one-fourth of the marks (0.25) is deducted for each wrong answer. English has 40 questions and Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning 30 each, for 100 marks.
Is there a sectional cut-off in SBI PO Prelims?
No. SBI draws the category-wise Prelims merit list on the aggregate score, so only your total matters for reaching Mains.
Does SBI publish an official answer key for PO Prelims?
No. SBI does not publish the question paper or answer key. Use this calculator with your own count of attempts, or with the marks SBI publishes on its careers page after the result.
Are Prelims marks added to the SBI PO final merit?
No. Prelims is qualifying only. Final merit is based on the Main exam (converted to 75) and Phase III (converted to 25).
How many candidates move from Prelims to Mains?
About 10 times the number of vacancies in each category, based on the aggregate Prelims score.
