SSC CGL Mock Test Free 2026: Full Tests, Sectionals and PYPs, No Login

Every SSC CGL mock test on this page is free and follows the 2026 Tier 1 pattern from the official notice: 100 questions, 200 marks, 60 minutes, and a separate 15-minute timer for each of the four sections. You can start without an account, and your score is calculated the moment you submit, with SSC's +2 / −0.50 marking.

Use the full mocks for exam-day rehearsal, the sectional tests to fix one subject at a time, the topic-wise tests for weak chapters like geometry or one-word substitution, and the mini mocks for a quick 10-question warm-up. The previous year papers are real SSC shifts, so they show you the exact level SSC sets.

Free SSC CGL Full Mock Tests (30)

Exam-length tests on the official pattern: 100 questions, 200 marks, 60 minutes (15 minutes per section).

Free SSC CGL Sectional Tests (68)

One whole subject at a time, sized like that section of the real paper. Best for building speed section by section.

Free SSC CGL Topic-wise Tests (215)

Short tests on a single chapter, grouped by subject. Use them to fix the weak topics your full mocks show up.

English (34)

General Awareness (22)

Mathematics (100)

Reasoning (55)

Free SSC CGL Mini Mocks (29)

10-question quick tests for a daily warm-up or a revision check in under 10 minutes.

Free SSC CGL Previous Year Papers (31)

Previous year papers in the same timed player. Official papers carry the real questions; practice papers are modelled on a past shift and are labelled.

  • Each section has its own 15-minute timer; unused time does not carry over (80 minutes, 20 per section, for scribe-eligible candidates).
  • Questions are in English and Hindi, except English Comprehension.
  • Quantitative Aptitude is set at 10th standard level; the other sections at graduation level.
  • Tier 1 only shortlists for Tier 2. Separate cut-offs are drawn for JSO, Statistical Investigator and all other posts.

  • 3 marks per correct answer and 1 mark deducted per wrong answer in Sections I, II and III.
  • Sections I and II (390 marks) decide the merit; CKT and DEST are qualifying only, but every section must be cleared.
  • Paper II (Statistics) and Paper III (General Studies, Finance and Economics) are only for JSO/SI and AAO candidates: 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours, −0.50 per wrong answer.

SSC CGL Negative Marking (+2 / −0.50)

In Tier 1 every correct answer gives 2 marks and every wrong answer costs 0.50 marks. A question you leave blank costs nothing. So one wrong answer cancels a quarter of a right one, and four wrong guesses wipe out the marks of one correct answer.

Tier 2 Paper I is harsher: +3 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one in Sections I, II and III. Every mock on this page uses the official Tier 1 scale, so the score you see is the score SSC would give before normalisation.

Worked example (Tier 1 marking)

60 right and 12 wrong: 60 × 2 − 12 × 0.5 = 114 marks. Leaving those 12 blank instead would have given 120.

How to use SSC CGL mock tests (a plan that works with sectional timers)

From 2026, SSC locks each Tier 1 section to 15 minutes. That changes how you should practise. You can no longer finish General Awareness in seven minutes and spend the spare time on Quant, so speed has to be built inside each section. Start with sectional tests: one 25-question set per subject on a strict 15-minute clock, so you get used to 36 seconds a question.

Once each section feels comfortable, move to full mocks. In the early weeks one full mock every three or four days is enough; in the last month before your exam date, take two or three a week, at the same time of day as your shift. Treat every full mock like the real exam: one sitting, no pausing, phone away.

The analysis after a mock matters more than the mock itself. Go through every question, including the ones you got right, and sort your mistakes into three groups: did not know the concept, knew it but was too slow, and careless slip. Concept gaps go to the topic-wise tests and the syllabus notes, speed problems go back to sectional tests, and careless slips usually fall once you stop guessing.

Watch your negative marks. At −0.50 per wrong answer, guessing blindly on four questions costs you a full correct answer. A good rule is to attempt a question only if you can rule out at least two options. Track three numbers after every mock (attempts, accuracy and net score) and aim to push accuracy above 90% before you push attempts up.

Finally, attempt the previous year papers last, close to the exam, as a level check. They tell you how hard SSC actually sets Reasoning and English, which mocks from different sources often over- or under-shoot.

SSC CGL Free Mock Test: FAQs

Are these SSC CGL mock tests really free?

Yes. All 373 SSC CGL tests on this page are free to attempt, including the full mocks and previous year papers. There is no paid plan behind them.

Do I need to log in to take an SSC CGL mock test?

No login is needed to start. Your first three tests in a browser run in guest mode; after that a free Google sign-in keeps your attempts going and saves your history. Step-by-step solutions on the result screen also open after the free sign-in.

How many free SSC CGL mock tests are there?

There are 373 SSC CGL tests right now: 30 full mocks, 68 sectional tests, 215 topic-wise tests, 29 mini mocks and 31 previous year papers. The counts on this page update every time new tests are published.

Are the full mocks based on the SSC CGL 2026 pattern?

Yes. Each full mock has 100 questions for 200 marks in 60 minutes across Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English, with a locked 15-minute timer per section, as in Para 13.8 of the SSC CGL 2026 notice.

What is the negative marking in SSC CGL Tier 1?

0.50 marks are deducted for every wrong answer and each correct answer earns 2 marks. Unattempted questions carry no penalty. Our mocks score you on exactly this scale.

Will I get my result instantly?

Yes. Your score, accuracy and section-wise marks appear as soon as you submit or the timer ends.

Are the SSC CGL previous year papers the real questions?

Papers marked "Official Paper" carry the actual questions from SSC's candidate response sheets, checked against SSC's final answer key. Papers marked "Practice Paper" are modelled on a past shift and say so in the title.

What score should I aim for in SSC CGL mocks?

Use the last official cut-off as a reference: for CGL 2025 Tier 1, SSC's corrected cut-off for all posts other than JSO and SI was 136.40 for UR, 130.37 for OBC, 127.42 for EWS, 115.03 for SC and 106.39 for ST, out of 200 (normalised marks, SSC corrigendum of 14.01.2026). Scoring comfortably above your category's figure in mocks is a sensible target, but mock scores and normalised scores are not the same thing.

How many mock tests should I take before SSC CGL Tier 1?

SSC does not prescribe a number. What matters is that you analyse each one. A practical plan is sectional tests first, then one full mock every few days, rising to two or three a week in the last month, with every mistake reviewed before the next attempt.

Do these mocks help with SSC CGL Tier 2?

Partly. Tier 2 Paper I covers the same four subjects plus a Computer Knowledge Test, but uses +3 / −1 marking, longer English (45 questions) and a combined one-hour Maths and Reasoning section. The sectional and topic-wise tests here are useful for Tier 2 practice; the full mocks follow the Tier 1 format.
