Cut-offs are SSC's official CGL 2025 Tier-I figures in normalised marks out of 200: the list for all other posts as corrected by SSC on 14.01.2026, and the JSO and SI lists from the result write-up of 18.12.2025. Your raw score is not normalised, so treat the comparison as a rough guide.

Corrected figures from SSC's corrigendum dated 14.01.2026 (the table in the 18.12.2025 write-up had an inadvertent error; the shortlisted lists were unchanged).
How the calculation works
Marks in a section = correct × 2 − wrong × 0.50. For example, 20 correct and 4 wrong in Quantitative Aptitude give 40 − 2 = 38 marks. Add the four sections for your Tier 1 total. Questions you did not attempt carry no marks and no penalty.

SSC CGL Score Calculator: FAQs
How is the SSC CGL Tier 1 score calculated?
Each correct answer gets 2 marks and each wrong answer loses 0.50 marks; unattempted questions get 0. With 4 sections of 25 questions, the maximum is 200 (SSC CGL 2026 notice, Para 13.8).
How do I use this calculator with the SSC answer key?
Open your response sheet with SSC's answer key, count correct and wrong answers in each section, and enter them. The calculator shows section-wise marks, your total, accuracy and marks lost to negative marking.
Is this my final SSC CGL score?
No. This is your raw score. CGL Tier 1 runs in many shifts, so SSC normalises scores across shifts; your normalised marks can be higher or lower than the raw figure.
What was the SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 cut-off?
For all posts other than JSO and SI, SSC's corrected cut-offs were UR 136.40, OBC 130.37, EWS 127.42, SC 115.03, ST 106.39, ESM 92.82, OH 100.87, HH 68.80, VH 72.05 and Others (PwD) 40.18, out of 200 (corrigendum dated 14.01.2026).
Why are the JSO and SI cut-offs higher?
SSC draws separate Tier 1 lists for Junior Statistical Officer and Statistical Investigator Grade II, which have fewer vacancies and need Paper II (Statistics) in Tier 2. In 2025 their UR cut-offs were 153.46 and 152.47.
Does clearing last year's cut-off mean I will qualify in 2026?
Not necessarily. Cut-offs change every year with vacancies, difficulty and the number of candidates. Use last year's figure as a reference point, not a promise.
What are the minimum qualifying marks in SSC CGL Tier 1?
UR 30%, OBC and EWS 25%, and all other categories 20%, as fixed in Para 16.1 of the notice. Actual cut-offs are far above these minimums.
