SSC JE Eligibility 2026: Quick Answer

For SSC JE 2026 you must be up to 30 years old (born between 02.08.1996 and 01.08.2008) for most posts, or up to 32 years (born between 02.08.1994 and 01.08.2008) for CPWD JE (Electrical and Civil) and the Lighthouses and Lightships posts, reckoned as on 01.08.2026. The qualification is a diploma or degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, depending on the post, with experience needed for some. The notice lists 14 organisations.

Key takeaway: Eligibility is by organisation and post, not one rule for all. Check the post you want in the table below before you worry about the age limit. The application window (2 to 22 September 2026) is closed, so this page helps you understand eligibility for document verification and future cycles.
