Educational Qualification
You need either of these:
Option 1
- Passed Madhyamik or equivalent, and
- 3-year Diploma in Survey Engineering from a recognised institute affiliated to AICTE or the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.
Option 2
- Passed Madhyamik or equivalent, and
- 2-year certificate course for Surveyor from a recognised Industrial Training Institute (ITI), and
- 1 year's experience in Survey and Settlement work using modern survey techniques, conversant with DGPS and/or Electronic Total Station (ETS) technology, from a Government-empanelled organisation or a GIS/Surveying company recognised under the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (with at least 3 years' experience in large-scale mapping and land records).
You must meet the qualification by the closing date, 09.11.2026. Experience must be full-time and backed by a certificate showing dates, duties and pay.
Language Requirement
The ability to read, write and speak Bengali is essential. This is not mandatory for candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali. Candidates who perform poorly in the Bengali test can have their candidature cancelled.
Age Limit
You must be not less than 21 and not more than 45 years on 01.01.2024, as per Finance Department Notification No. 1707-F(P2) dated 16.05.2026 read with No. 2619-F(P2) dated 20.07.2026. In date terms, this works out to being born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.2003. Only the age in your Madhyamik or equivalent certificate is accepted.
