RRB NTPC 2026 — Complete Notification
Railway Recruitment Boards have released two Centralised Employment Notifications for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) in 2026: CEN No. 06/2026 (Graduate) for 3,548 posts and CEN No. 07/2026 (Undergraduate) for 1,688 posts, a total of 5,236 vacancies. The indicative notices appeared in Employment News on 26 September 2026.
Vacancy revision: the indicative notice listed 3,477 Graduate posts; the detailed CEN 06/2026 raised this to 3,548. The Undergraduate figure stayed at 1,688. RRBs say the vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate posts (CEN 06/2026): Degree from a recognised university, held by 6 November 2026
- Undergraduate posts (CEN 07/2026): 12th Pass (+2 stage) with 50% aggregate marks, held by 13 November 2026; the 50% condition does not apply to SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and candidates with higher qualifications
- Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2027):
- Graduate posts: 18 to 33 years
- Undergraduate posts: 18 to 30 years
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and others as per the CEN
Selection Process
- CBT Stage 1 — 100 Questions, 90 Minutes (General Awareness 40, Mathematics 30, General Intelligence & Reasoning 30)
- CBT Stage 2 — 120 Questions, 90 Minutes (General Awareness 50, Mathematics 35, General Intelligence & Reasoning 35)
- Document Verification & Medical Examination
Negative marking of 1/3 mark per wrong answer. The Computer Based Typing Skill Test has been dispensed with in both CENs for the typist posts; typing proficiency will be assessed after joining.
Application Fee
- All candidates except those below: Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 refunded, less bank charges, after appearing in CBT-1)
- SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically Backward Class (EBC): Rs. 250 (refunded, less bank charges, after appearing in CBT-1)
- Modification fee: Rs. 250 per occasion
