Within each category, 10% of posts are for Ex-Servicemen and 15% for Home Guards (horizontal reservation). For example, SAF has 150 open posts, 20 for Ex-Servicemen and 30 for Home Guards; the District Police Force has 600 open, 80 Ex-Servicemen and 120 Home Guard posts. Police posts are exempt from PwD reservation.

Chest expansion of at least 5 cm is compulsory, and no relaxation in physical standards is given at any stage. You also need vision of at least 6/9 in one eye and 6/12 in the other without glasses, normal colour vision, and no knock-knees or flat feet.

MP Police Constable Driver Selection Process 2026
- Phase 1 - Online written test (ESB), in Hindi
