Educational Qualification
- Electronics: B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (4 years) Engineering in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, Communication or Telecommunication.
- Mechanical: B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (4 years) Engineering in Mechanical.
- The degree must be from an AICTE approved college. First class is needed for UR / OBC (NCL) / EWS. Pass class is enough for SC / ST / PwBD.
- AMIE / AMIETE / GIETE holders with first class in the same disciplines are also eligible.
- Other equivalent disciplines and dual specializations are not considered.
- Candidates with colour blindness are not suitable for these posts.
Age Limit (as on 1 October 2026)
- Maximum 25 years for Unreserved and EWS candidates.
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC / ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), 10 years for PwBD, and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen as per government guidelines.

BEL Probationary Engineer Salary 2026
The basic pay scale is Rs 40,000-3%-1,40,000 (E-II Grade), with an approximate CTC of Rs 13 lakh a year. Selected candidates also get DA, HRA, conveyance allowance, performance related pay, medical reimbursement and other perquisites. Selected engineers go through 6 months of orientation / on-the-job training and must sign a 2 year service agreement (Rs 2,00,000 payable for breach).
