OAVS Recruitment 2026: The Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) has published Advt. No. 1/2026 for 815 regular posts of Principal, PGT, TGT, Art Teacher, Physical Education Teacher (PET) and Computer Teacher in Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) and Odisha Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas (OMAVs). Online registration is open at oav.edu.in until 11 November 2026, 5:00 pm.

OAVS Eligibility Criteria 2026
General conditions
- You must be an Indian citizen.
- You must have passed MIL Odia up to ME standard. If you have not, you can still apply, but you must pass that exam (conducted by BSE Odisha) within 3 years of joining.
- You must be able to teach in both English and Odia medium. Computer knowledge is desirable for all posts.
- All TGT posts (English, Odia, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies) need a pass in OSSTET / OTET Paper-II (BSE) or CTET Paper-II (CBSE).
- Special B.Ed. or D.Ed. holders are not eligible.
- Marks are not rounded off: 49.99% counts as below 50%. If your university gives CGPA, convert it using the university's own formula.

OAVS Selection Process 2026
- Computer Based Test (CBT): bilingual paper (English and Odia), with 0.25 negative marking
- Interview (plus a Performance Test for Art Teacher and Computer Teacher)
- Document verification and medical fitness
Part-I of the CBT is qualifying. The rest of your paper is checked only if you score at least 5 marks each in English and Odia and 13 marks in total in Part-I. Report at the exam centre at least 90 minutes before the test.

Baleswar, Bargarh, Baripada, Berhampur, Bhadrak, Balangir, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Rourkela and Sambalpur. You choose three cities in order of preference in the form.
OAVS Salary 2026
The advertisement places each post in a level of the Odisha Revised Scales of Pay (ORSP) Rules, 2017. The entry pay below is from the ORSP 2017 pay matrix (Odisha Finance Department); the advertisement itself lists only the level.
