Geometry Questions for SSC & Railway Exams: 17 Free Practice Tests

Geometry (triangles, circles, polygons and coordinate geometry) carries a big share of SSC CGL Tier 1 and Tier 2 maths.

Most questions use a small set of theorems; learn them with a figure and the questions become quick.

Geometry: Key theorems and formulas

  • Angles of a triangle add up to 180°; an exterior angle equals the sum of the two opposite interior angles.
  • Pythagoras: in a right triangle, hypotenuse² = sum of the squares of the other two sides.
  • The centroid divides each median in the ratio 2 : 1 from the vertex.
  • The angle in a semicircle is 90°; the angle at the centre is twice the angle at the circumference on the same arc.
  • A tangent is perpendicular to the radius at the point of contact; two tangents from an external point are equal.
  • Area of an equilateral triangle = (√3 ÷ 4) × side²; each interior angle of a regular n-sided polygon = (n − 2) × 180° ÷ n.

Geometry Questions: FAQs

How many free geometry tests are on BookOfExams?

17 tests with 312 questions in total, across 4 exams. The count updates whenever a new test is added.

Which geometry topics are asked most in SSC CGL?

Triangles (congruence, similarity, centres) and circles (chords, tangents, angles) are the most frequent, followed by polygons and coordinate geometry.

Do I need to draw the figure?

Yes. A rough figure with the given values marked prevents most mistakes.

Do these tests have solutions?

Yes. Every test shows your score and accuracy as soon as you submit, with a step-by-step solution for each question after a free sign-in.
