IBPS RRB PO Cut Off 2026: Quick Answer
IBPS has not released any IBPS RRB PO (Officer Scale I) cut-off for 2026; the Prelims is scheduled for 21 and 22 November 2026 and the cut-off will come only with each stage's result. Based on IBPS's own previous-year figures, a General-category candidate should aim for a Mains Total Weighted Score (TWS) of roughly 75 to 85 out of 200 in most large states, which is our expected target, not an official number.
Read this first (as of 28 Oct 2026): Every figure marked "Expected" on this page is BookOfExams analysis built from official IBPS cut-off documents. It is not an IBPS number. IBPS fixes cut-offs state-wise and category-wise after each stage, based on vacancies and candidate performance. We will update this same page when IBPS publishes the CRP RRBs-XV cut-offs.
IBPS RRB PO 2026: Official Facts So Far
| Item | Official position (as of 28 Oct 2026) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Recruitment | CRP RRBs-XV, Officer Scale I | IBPS CRP RRBs-XV notification (revised) |
| Prelims date | 21 and 22 November 2026 | IBPS tentative calendar 2026-27 (16.01.2026) |
| Mains date | 20 December 2026 | IBPS tentative calendar 2026-27 |
| Vacancies | 4,256 indicative (Officer Scale I, after the September 2026 updates) | IBPS Annexure I, updated 09.09.2026 and later updates |
| Prelims pattern | Reasoning 40 Q (25 min) + Quantitative Aptitude 40 Q (20 min), 80 marks | CRP RRBs-XV notification |
| Prelims result | December 2026 / January 2027 | IBPS window notification (01.09.2026) |
The notification says candidates "have to qualify in both the tests by securing minimum cut-off marks", and allotment for Officer Scale I is restricted to the RRBs of the state you opted for. That is why the RRB PO cut-off is always state-wise: the same score can be safe in one state and short in another. Exam dates and the full schedule are on our IBPS RRB PO 2026 hub.
How the IBPS RRB PO Cut-Off Works (Three Stages)
| Stage | What IBPS applies | Where IBPS shows it |
|---|---|---|
| Prelims | Cut-off in each of the two tests, then a state/category-wise total for Mains shortlisting | Candidate's Prelims score display (login) |
| Mains | Qualifying score in each test, then a cut-off on Total Weighted Score (TWS) for interview | Mains score/cut-off document |
| Final | Combined Mains + interview score (out of 100), minimum score of the last candidate allotted | Provisional allotment notice, Annexure B |
In the 2024 cycle (CRP RRBs-XIII), IBPS computed TWS as Reasoning × 1.25 + Computer Knowledge × 0.50 + General Awareness × 1.00 + English/Hindi × 1.00 + Quantitative Aptitude × 1.25, which gives a maximum of 200.

IBPS RRB PO Expected Cut Off 2026 (Our Analysis)
Method. We start from the latest official Mains TWS cut-off above (CRP RRBs-XIII), then adjust for two things: (1) vacancies, since a bigger state vacancy count usually lets IBPS go deeper into the merit list, and (2) paper difficulty, which we will judge only after the 21-22 November Prelims. Until the exam happens, we give a safe target band: the official 2024 General cut-off for your state at the low end, and about 8 marks above it at the high end, to absorb a tougher competition year.
| State | Official 2024 General TWS | Expected 2026 safe target (General, out of 200) |
|---|---|---|
| Uttar Pradesh | 71.81 | 72 to 80 (Expected) |
| Bihar | 68.44 | 68 to 77 (Expected) |
| Rajasthan | 71.13 | 71 to 79 (Expected) |
| Madhya Pradesh | 74.13 | 74 to 82 (Expected) |
| Haryana | 78.44 | 78 to 87 (Expected) |
| Himachal Pradesh | 79.56 | 80 to 88 (Expected) |
| West Bengal | 75.75 | 76 to 84 (Expected) |
Reserved-category candidates can apply the same logic to their own column. This band is a planning target, not a prediction: the real 2026 cut-off can fall outside it, in either direction. Note that 4,256 is an indicative figure and IBPS can revise state vacancies again before allotment.
How to Use This Before the 21-22 November Prelims
- Clear both sections first. The Prelims has a cut-off in each test, so a weak Quant score can end your attempt even with a strong total. Use the IBPS RRB PO syllabus and exam pattern to rebalance your last three weeks.
- Benchmark with full mocks. Take timed IBPS RRB PO free mock tests such as the IBPS RRB PO Prelims 2026 Mock Test (New Pattern) 01, and track each section separately.
- Start Mains GA now. Mains is only four weeks after Prelims (20 December 2026). Revise banking awareness for bank exams 30 minutes a day.
- Check eligibility and pay. Confirm your age band in IBPS RRB PO eligibility and age limit 2026 and see what the post pays in IBPS RRB PO salary 2026.
- Plan exam day. Read the IBPS RRB PO exam day guidelines 2026 and follow the IBPS RRB PO preparation plan 2026 until 21 November.
IBPS RRB PO Expected Cut Off 2026 FAQs
What is the expected IBPS RRB PO cut off 2026 for General category?
IBPS has not released it. Our expected Mains target for General candidates is roughly 72 to 88 out of 200 depending on the state (for example 72 to 80 in Uttar Pradesh), built from the official 2024 TWS cut-offs. It is an estimate, not an official figure.
Is the IBPS RRB PO cut-off the same for every state?
No. IBPS fixes it state-wise and category-wise because allotment is restricted to RRBs in the state you chose. In 2024, the official General Mains cut-off ranged from 48.88 (Gujarat) to 79.56 (Himachal Pradesh).
IBPS RRB PO 2026 ka cut off kab aayega?
Prelims cut-off result ke saath aayega. IBPS ke window notification ke hisaab se Prelims result December 2026 ya January 2027 mein aayega, aur cut-off aapke score card login mein dikhega.
RRB PO Prelims mein sectional cut off hota hai kya?
Haan. Notification ke anusaar dono tests (Reasoning aur Quantitative Aptitude) mein minimum cut-off marks laana zaroori hai, tabhi total ke basis par Mains ke liye shortlisting hoti hai.
What was the IBPS RRB PO final cut off in Uttar Pradesh?
In CRP RRBs-XII, the minimum combined (Mains + interview) score for UR in Uttar Pradesh was 48.82 out of 100, as per IBPS's provisional allotment Annexure B.
Will IBPS RRB PO 2026 cut off be higher than last year?
It depends on state vacancies and the paper. Higher vacancies in your state usually pull the cut-off down; an easier paper pushes it up. We will update this page after the November Prelims.
