Q1.Select the set in which the numbers are related in the same way as are the numbers of the following sets. (NOTE : Operations should be performed on the whole numbers, without breaking down the numbers into their constituent digits. E.g. 13 – Operations on 13 such as adding / subtracting / multiplying etc. to 13 can be performed. Breaking down 13 into 1 and 3 and then performing mathematical operations on 1 and 3 is not allowed.) (19,21,55) (8,9,23)

    • A(22,21,67)
    • B(1,21,19)
    • C(7,5,3)
    • D(20,12,79)

    Answer: (A) (22,21,67)

    Rule: 4 × first − second = third. 4×19 − 21 = 55 and 4×8 − 9 = 23. Check (22, 21, 67): 4×22 − 21 = 67. The other sets fail (e.g. 4×1 − 21 ≠ 19).
